Fernando was rescued from slaughter when he was a calf by a family in Orlando Florida. They searched for months and months to find a sanctuary to help. When he arrived he was malnourished and full of parasites. He was so happy to see other cows and our female cow Sparkles, a previous cow mom, snuggled with him to keep him warm at night.

Now at 4 years old he is growing into a big strong boy weighing in at 1500 pounds. Cows are extremely social and have best friends! He loves to be hugged and carrots are his favorite snack.
