Groot was 1 of 4 piggies rescued from California with the help of our friends Saving Animals Healing Hearts. 

He was in a very dangerous situation with one of our other pigs, Dory. There was a Good Samaritan doing their best to protect them over the few months prior to us taking them in. They were fed sporadically, the victims of cruelty and neglect.  Our friends Saving Animals Healing Hearts got them to safety and we took them in. They were deemed death row pigs and are now living their best lives,
