Macon (formerly named “bacon”) and his brother Otis ended up at Tampa Animal Control when their owner was evicted from her house.

We were told Macon was attacked by a dog when he was younger which is why he is missing his right ear and is permanently disabled from the
damage done to his left front leg.

Because of these very old injuries Tampa Animal Control was going to euthanize him! That’s when we stepped in and had the both of them transported to Little Bear. 

Macon, although slow, gets around just fine and loves to lay in his pool every day. He is one of our oldest residents at 9 years old. Cookie is his favorite word!
