Rosie is a Yorkshire farm pig weighing in at 600 pounds. She was rescued in Florida from a life of misery confined in a gestation crate for two years until she could no longer produce piglets. She was going to be sent to slaughter had we not stepped in and rescued her.

Rosie was friendly and loving from the day she arrived. She gave birth to 10 of the cutest piglets you’ve ever seen. Pigs are one of the most intelligent animals on the planet. Rosie sang to her babies while they were nursing, always made sure they were safe and was an all-around incredible mom. It was an amazing experience for everyone at the sanctuary.
