Sunshine is a 7 year old thoroughbred racehorse with a history of medical issues who was originally rescued from a girl who obtained him directly from the racetrack. Within 6 months he came down with some neurological issues and she couldn’t afford the treatment. His current owner is being evicted and he desperately needed a home. So we stepped up and happily welcomed him to the sanctuary. 

Sunny required specialized vet care, including coggins, hooves, dental, and cribbing issues. 

He’s settled in wonderfully and made lots of new friends.
